Blood Spatter Question

My daughter on the passenge side, seat belt on. Boyfriend, driving no seat belt. The car speeding, hit a rail, flew in the air landing upside down. Question. Above my daughters head there was a line of blood, then a pool of blood above driver's side.
He apparently pulled her out of the seat belt. Why didn't she bleed HARD right away after impact, instead of bleeding when he moved her? He also had guns in the car. At hospital the back of her head was mush the nurse told me. Could there have been foul play? She also had blood under her nails. There is more to this story but its long.
