Current Criminal Justice AS Major: Can I find A Job?

I am currently a student in an associates based Criminal Justice program. My goal is to become a CSI however, I do understand there are certain steps I need to take. In the mean time, I would love to work in the field as an assistant or apprentice or even observation.

How do I go about working with a precinct or OCME in other to gain my experience. I am not afraid of death as I have worked in a funeral home for 2yrs. I do understand that it is TOTALLY different.

Please help!
