Forensic Education Advice

I'm an undergraduate student and am going to major in Liberal Arts Math and Science. I'm interested in forensic science and I live in Nassau County, NY. I am interested in criminalistics, crime scene investigation, forensic anthropology, and evidence analysis.
My highest goal is obtain a Ph.D. in the future and become an expert witness. I was just wondering if anybody had any advice for me regarding what classes I should take and anything else that would be helpful.
