Forensic Entomology

Hi I'm interested in becoming a forensic entomologist and was wondering what degree would be more advantageous, Zoology or Biology? Also would it be in better to seek internship positions with an entomologist or work in the medical examiners office?

I know that by becoming a forensic entomologist there is not much work available, thats why for graduate studies I plan to specialize in medical entomology, but still pursue forensic entomology thereafter.
