GSR On Both Hands
by: J from KY

To answer your question, Yes, it is common. When a revolver is fired, hot gasses from the fired round burst from the space between the barrel and the cylinder. These hot gasses carry GSR ( gunshot residue ) with them and deposit theme on anything near the weapon. Thus if both hands are near the firearn when it is discharged, they will both likely recieve a deposit of GSR. Hope this helps.
