Studying Forensics

I'm a young student hoping to start A levels in 2008/2009. I really enjoy watching movies where investigators use forensic science to solve cases and I think forensic science is what I want to study.
The problem is that I am not that good in Chemistry but pretty good in Biology, and I heard that one has to study medicine first, which I am not sure I want to do.
Do you think I should just continue enjoying forensic science as a past time or should I go for it and study Forensics?
